vision requirements

Bridle opticians Sponsor BRFC Wolfpack

Vision in sport is very important, if you can't read the opponent you won't be able to beat them, but also if you have one eye better than the other you may play much better on one side of the field than the other. So a regular eye examination is a really good place to start, if you need to wear glasses for distance tasks then you will be told to remove your glasses before taking to the rugby field.

If you play rugby, in the end there is no alternative to contact lenses, that's not a problem we can get you seeing the touchline.  However not everyone plays full contact rugby and children can certainly wear a sport specific solution before they move into contact lenses.

At Bridle opticians we have loads of children wearing sports specific eyewear: designed to allow them to concentrate on the sport not on their glasses, to allow them to see the ball, read the game and beat their opponent.
