  1. Who can wear Contact Lenses? At what age can you start?
    A. Almost anyone can wear contact lenses, whatever their age or lifestyle. We have recently had a patient aged five who has greatly adapted to the use of contact lenses, and her binocular vision has improved considerably by the use of them.
  2. Are contact lenses hard to take care of?
    A. It differs depending on what kind of lens you have. When you initially have your consultation the optometrist will give you a run through of what procedures you need to carry out in order to maintain your contact lenses.
  3. Should I wear contact lenses whilst playing sports?
    A. Sports Vision Doctors actually agree that contact lenses are the best vision correction option for athletes. Unlike glasses, contact lenses offer athletes a competitive advantage because they stay in place under dynamic conditions, offer a wider vision field, and eliminate the risk of glasses related injuries.
  4. Can a Contact Lens get lost behind my eye?
    A. No. At worst you might have trouble finding it under your upper eyelid if you rub your eye and dislodge the lens from its proper position. If necessary, we can help you locate and remove the lens.
  5. Can I sleep in my Contact Lenses?
    A. It is not recommended to sleep in your contact lenses unless you have been prescribed lenses that are specifically designed for this purpose.
  6. Can I wear eye-make up with my Contact Lenses?
    A. Yes you can wear eye make-up, however it is best to make sure that it is hypo-allergenic, and to make sure that your mascara is non-fibrous.
